CanSat in Greece 2020
November 2019 – October 2020
In late 2019, I led a team of six members in a university competition focused on developing amateur electromechanical aerospace projects. Our project involved creating a can-sized satellite capable of accurately localizing a Wi-Fi beacon on the ground. Our team secured first place in our category.
IoT integration
February 2021 – June 2021
A project designed to teach the basics of IoT and data manipulation using an ESP32 microcontroller. The ESP32 collected sensor data and transmitted it via LoRa to a gateway connected to The Things Network. The data was then imported into a self-hosted Node-RED instance for display to the end user.

Since mid-2018, I have actively participated in R&D projects within two university teams, with ASPiRE UoWM being the most impactful. Our focus lies on aerospace innovation, culminating in participation in global competitions. Throughout my tenure, I have consistently contributed to the avionics and telemetry systems of our projects, including the CanSat Greece competition, the Spaceport America Cup rocket, and the UAV for the 2023 UAS Challenge.

In October 2022, I joined the ASPiRE UoWM team's endeavor to develop a UAV for the UAS challenge competition. My role was multifaceted: I designed the hardware to be integrated into the vehicle and implemented the telemetry system. To guide the UAV during simulations, I utilized MATLAB connectors to interface with X-Plane and control the vehicle via its autopilot.
